DR. ADAM GONZALEZ

Adam M. Gonzalez is an associate professor in the Department of Allied Health and Kinesiology at Hofstra University. He earned a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Central Florida in 2015 and holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), along with a Certified Sports Nutritionist Certification (CISSN).

SHIFTED's Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Adam M. Gonzalez, is passionate about helping to create a supplement line of evidence-based formulas to help athletes and active individuals perform and feel their best.
Dr. Gonzalez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Allied Health and Kinesiology at Hofstra University, where he teaches courses focusing on sports nutrition, strength and conditioning, and human physiology. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science and a master’s in Health Science Education from The College of New Jersey. After graduate school, he earned a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Central Florida where he spent years working in a Human Performance Laboratory researching sports science, exercise physiology, and nutritional supplementation.
Today, he continues to blend his academic studies with real world practice. He has authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications in some of the top-tiered journals of applied physiology and sports nutrition. His primary research interests include exercise and nutritional strategies to optimize body composition, maximize health, and enhance adaptations to exercise. He holds certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN). Dr. Gonzalez was also awarded the 2022 Nutritional Research Achievement Award by the National Strength and Conditioning Association in recognition of his contribution to the field.

Hannah Cabré is a postdoctoral fellow at Pennington Biomedical Research Center at Louisiana State University specializing if female endocrinology research. She completed her doctoral degree in the Human Movement Science Curriculum with a specialization in exercise physiology, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine.

HANNAH CABRÉ, PHD, RDN, CISSN
Hannah Cabré, PhD, RDN, CISSN is a postdoctoral fellow at Pennington Biomedical Research Center at Louisiana State University specializing if female endocrinology research. She completed her doctoral degree in the Human Movement Science Curriculum with a specialization in exercise physiology, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree in Dietetics and completed her masters degree in sports nutrition and exercise physiology, as well as her dietetic internship, at Florida State University.
Dr. Cabré is an exercise physiologist and a registered dietitian with 6 years of experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting exercise and nutrition outcomes (one repetition max, isometric strength, recovery, metabolism, sport supplementation, and body composition), specifically in women. Most recently, she completed her dissertation research study evaluating the effects of hormonal contraception on strength and recovery across the menstrual cycle. She received research funding from the National Strength and Conditioning Foundation, the Gatorade Sport Science Institute, and the University of North Carolina Graduate School to support her dissertation research.
Dr. Cabré is passionate about optimizing women’s health across the lifespan through feasible nutrition and exercise interventions. She has joined the SHIFTED scientific advisory board to advocate for nutrition supplements that are uniquely formulated for women and to provide educational materials to aid women in accomplishing their specific exercise and nutrition goals. Dr. Cabré has extensive research experience and education in sports nutrition, and she understands how important nutrition supplements are for reaching specific exercise goals. She believes the formulation of SHIFTED products are scientifically backed, and she looks forward to providing guidance for future products.

He obtained his PhD from the University of Central Florida with a focus on how to enhance human performance through exercise and nutrition.

DAVID CHURCH PHD
Dr. David Church is a physiologist and muscle biologist with over 50 peer-reviewed publications and multiple invited talks at regional, national, and international conferences. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and biochemistry from DePauw University where he also played varsity football and baseball. Following this, he was an athletic performance intern at Baylor University where he also studied exercise and nutritional biochemistry. He obtained his PhD from the University of Central Florida with a focus on how to enhance human performance through exercise and nutrition.
Dr. Church completed his post-doctoral training in the use of stable isotope tracer methodology to measure human metabolism. His primary research focus is ameliorating catabolic and pathological conditions. He currently is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and serves as the Assistant Director for the Center for Translational Research in Aging & Longevity.
Dr. Church is passionate about human performance and is involved in research investigating metabolism and the regulation of muscle. He is active in various organizations such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association, International Society of Sports Nutrition, American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Physiological Society. Andres is a licensed Registered Dietitian in the state of Florida and provides coaching programs worldwide.
As the founder and owner of Planos Nutrition, an online coaching platform that offers personalized nutrition coaching, Andres has helped countless clients achieve their health and fitness goals. He is a respected speaker in the field, having presented on topics such as intermittent fasting and advanced nutrition strategies at conferences and events. With a significant social media presence, Andres has built a community of over 140,000 followers on TikTok and 17,000 followers on Instagram.
Andres is a member of the advisory panel for SHIFTED, where he brings his wealth of knowledge and experience in nutrition and sports performance to help guide the development of high-quality, effective supplements. He is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficacy and is committed to helping people achieve optimal health and wellness through personalized nutrition coaching and supplement support. His expertise has been recognized by top-tier organizations in sports and fitness, having worked as a sports nutrition coach at IMG Academy and as Director of Sports Nutrition at the Applied Science and Performance Institute, where he worked with some of the world's top athletes in major league sports such as NFL, MLB, and NHL.
